Level 3

Well done to all Level 3 students who completed NAPLAN this week!

Level 3 began last week with some final NAPLAN practice before beginning each of the next 3 days with a NAPLAN testing session. Students went into each session with an all hands in 'we will do our best' attitude!

After each NAPLAN testing session, students were able to refresh by eating their snack in the fresh air. For those who were interested, we learned how to play 'olden day' elastics "England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales. Inside, outside, puppy dog, tails." For many, it was a chance to run off some energy after sitting still for 50 minutes! Last Monday we completed our last NAPLAN test and celebrated with pats on the back and thumbs up.

With our Sporting Schools Grant, Mr Hodgson organised Ben and Mo from HE Parker Tennis Club to come and run a tennis program. It was a lovely way to celebrate the end of NAPLAN testing for 2025 and the weather was perfect. Students worked on hand-eye coordination, balance and teamwork by running drills and lobbing balls at each other to hit back. We look forward to using our skills again next Monday.

And finally, the last few weeks of Term!

Literacy

In Literacy we will be working on making connections between texts we read, developing our persuasive writing techniques and continuing with our Jolly Phonics spelling and grammar.

Numeracy

We will be looking at regrouping in addition, the connection to subtraction and locating key information in worded problems during Numeracy.
