Achieving Excellence Together
Dear Families,
We're racing towards the finish line of Term One, and as usual, I'm left asking 'Where has all the time gone?". It really has been an amazingly busy term, and we've still got two weeks to go!
The past week we have been focused on our achievements for 2025 so far. The Grade 3s and 5s have undertaken their four NAPLAN assessments, and we were very impressed with their maturity in approaching these tasks. It is incredibly encouraging to see the progress all students have made in their academic achievements this term, something we are really looking forward to sharing with you at the upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences.
ILPs and Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thank you to those families who have already booked in for the Parent Teacher Conferences. If you have not made a booking yet please do so through Compass (instructions on how to do this can be found here in the newsletter). Students' Individual Learning Plans will become available to families on Monday 24 March in preparation for the parent conferences. Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place on Tuesday 1 April and Wednesday 2 April, except for families with students in 1/2A who will have their interviews on Thursday 27 March and Monday 31 March.
School Photos
Melbourne turned on the weather for our school photos on Wednesday. The MPS photo team were impressed with the excellence and respect shown by our students as they came through for the class photos. We look forward to seeing the results later in Term 2.
Upcoming events
As always, we've got a busy couple of weeks ahead of us before we take a break for the school holidays. Our Grade 3/4s are exploring their senses on an excursion on Friday, before an amazing last week of sports awareness and our Cultural Colour Week on the last day of term! Parents and families are are encouraged to come and join the fun - by completing the obstacle course (with colour thrown) or dancing in the bubble disco. Of course, those who prefer to enjoy from the side are welcome to spectate.
