Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope families enjoyed some time together and away from work and school routines over the Labour Day Weekend. The weather turned it on, and it also looks to continue for this week. By the sound of it, lots of our families made a beeline for the beaches looking for relief from the heat.

Over the last five weeks, I have met many people (kids, parents and staff). I now know all the names of the 49 staff members working at Sacred Heart! I am meeting individually with each of them to discover their strengths and how to work together to continue improving our school. 

I look forward to learning the names and getting to know the parents and, of course, the kids. So please introduce yourself at morning drop-off or pick-up time if the opportunity presents itself. I apologise in advance if we were introduced, but I don’t recall your name!

Last Tuesday, we had our first Learning Walk. It provided an excellent opportunity for parents to be back in the school and understand how classrooms operate. The focus of the Learning Walk was the children and the learning that was taking place at the school. 

There were lots of positive feedback and comments from those that attended, some of which included:

The next Learning Walk will be on Tuesday, April 1st. We will be meeting at 9:00am-10:00am in the school’s Multi-purpose room.  There will be a focus on the specialist classes that Sacred Heart offers for all parents who are interested in enrolling for Foundation 2026.

Foundation Interviews

Administration Officer - Casual / On Call position

On occasions we require additional administration staff, therefore we are advertising for a casual office staff member.  Please see advert below.
