Library Update

At our school, we are passionate about fostering a love of reading in all of our students. One of the best ways to develop their literacy skills and expand their imaginations is through regular reading. We encourage all students to visit our school library, explore the wide variety of books available, and borrow books that interest them. Students visit the library once a week with their class to borrow books and listen to a variety of texts. The library is open during lunchtimes, Monday to Thursday, for quiet reading and also for borrowing.

Reading not only enhances academic skills but also opens doors to new ideas and experiences. The more a child reads, the better they become at understanding the world around them.

We are also excited to share that 12 students have already completed the Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) for this year! This is a fantastic achievement, and we hope it inspires many more students to complete the challenge as well. The PRC closes Friday, 22nd August, 2025. Certificates will be issued towards the end of the year, after the Premier’s Reading Challenge has closed.

Additionally, we would like to take a moment to thank all the parents who have supported our school through the purchase of books from Scholastic. Your participation not only provides wonderful reading material for our students but also helps our school earn a percentage of the proceeds, allowing us to further enrich our library collection. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

Please encourage your child to visit the library and make reading a fun and regular activity at home. Together, we can help them build a lifelong love of books.

Thank you for your continued support!
