Year 7 Students Take Aim in Archery Experience at the College

Year 7 students at the College were given the exciting opportunity to try their hand at archery last week, as part of their Health and Physical Education program. The sessions, conducted at the College by expert instructors from Arrows Plus, tied in seamlessly with the unit’s current focus on the theme of Target and Accuracy.

Using professional-grade equipment provided by Arrows Plus, students engaged in a safe and structured environment to learn the fundamentals of archery. The experience aimed to develop not only precision and focus, but also patience and coordination—key skills explored in recent class discussions.

Feedback from students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing enthusiasm about trying something new and stepping outside their sporting comfort zones.

“It was so different from anything we've done before,” one student shared. “I didn’t think I’d be any good at it, but I actually hit the target a few times!”

The archery sessions represent the College’s commitment to providing diverse and engaging learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
