VM Work Readiness

Work Readiness Day
On Wednesday the 2nd April, Year 11 VM students participated in Work Readiness Day at the College organised by the Pathways team, gaining valuable insights and experience to help them prepare for their future careers.
The day began with guest speaker sessions, where industry professionals shared information about apprenticeships and career opportunities across various fields. Students had the chance to ask questions and explore different pathways.
In the afternoon, students took part in mock interviews, allowing them to practice their interview skills in a professional setting. This hands-on experience helped build their confidence and prepare them for real-world job applications, where they were able to get 1-1 feedback about their performance.
The day was both engaging and rewarding, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for their next steps with undertaking Structured Workplace Learning in May and beyond school. Well done to all students who participated!
