SMART PROGRAM

Science Maths and Real Technology

 

The SMART Program which is run by the University of Newcastle, have partnered with the ARTC Inland Rail to deliver a free science show at Boggabri Public School on Monday 7 November for students in Stage 2-3. Our Yr 3-6 students will be walking to BPS at 9:15am to be part of the program and will walk back to school at 1:45pm. 

The theme of the show is 'Force and Motion' and will include the following demonstrations:

Air Pressure v's gravity demonstrations

Inertia + gravity demonstrations

Toroidal vortex (air) cannon + smoke rings

Alka-seltzer rockets

Magnestism

Rotating forces

 

BPS are looking into organising a meal deal for lunch, however at this stage your child will need to bring fruit, morning tea and lunch for the day.


TERM 4 SCHOOL FEES

Term 4 School Fees will be emailed to families during this week. As always if you have any concerns about making payment, please contact Mrs Baird at school to discuss the matter confidentially.


SOCKTOBER

Many thanks to everyone who participated in our Catholic Mission events over the past weeks. 

The final tally is: $276.75

  • Mufti Day - $68.40
  • Coin Trail - $167.35
  • Crazy Sock/Hair Day - $41.00

This money will be sent to the Catholic Missions to distributed to the Church of Ethiopia and the local communities to provide life-changing opportunities to those most in need.

 


Transport NSW 2023 School Travel Applications

This applies to children who use or will need to use buses to get to and from school.  Some children who may also need to reapply so if you are unsure please you read the attached flyer.
