Principal’s Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is lovely to have everyone back on site this week after last week's flooding event. I was so impressed by the resilience and flexibility of our students last week as they worked from either a remote or on site mode of learning. I thank the staff who were on site last week and the staff who were running remote learning, for their adaptability and commitment in ensuring that their was minimal disruption to the learning for our students. 

Thank you to our families and students for supporting the annual Socktober fundraiser for Catholic Missions. During the month of October we raised $276.75 as a school for Catholic Missions. This money will be forwarded as our donation as we reflect on our contribution to making a difference to the lives of children in Ethiopia. 

Year 2 students will be participating in the sacrament of Reconciliation on Wednesday 30 November. The schedule for the preparation of this sacrament is as follows:

Thursday 3 November - Parent meeting 3pm at the school.

Saturday 5 November - Rite of enrolment 4pm Sacred Heart Church.

Wednesday 30 November - First Reconciliation 12 md, Sacred Heart Church. 

This Wednesday we will be having Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 12:30pm. This will be a combined school and Parish Mass.

Year 4 - 6 students will be participating in the Real Talk sessions this Thursday. The purpose of Real Talk is to provide presentations,  programs and up-to-date resources for young people to know their true value, worth and dignity and to experience love for all it was created to be.

Our Kindergarten transition will conclude on Thursday 10 November (Week 5). On this day we will have a special assembly for our transition students at 2:30 pm. 

Advertising for our 2024 transition program will commence this term. If you know of anyone wishing to enrol their child for 2024 and participate in the transition program next year, please let me know. Program details and enrolment forms for next years transition program will be available later in the term.

If you know of anyone who is intending to enrol at Sacred Heart either in Kindergarten or any other year group for 2023 , please encourage them to contact me at school.
