Recently, the 1/2 students were able to take part in an incursion where they were able to be creative and make something that works well the their unit of study this term. We had the opportunity to sit down with Ms. Huynh to ask her some questions about the day and this is what she had to say:

When did the incursion happen?

1/2H and 1/2A had their incursion on Wednesday the 19th and 1/2W and 1/2S had theirs on Thursday the 20th

What did the students do?

The students learned to make working toy cars using a variety of shapes made of wood. The 1/2S got to use real tools to construct their cars.

What was the organisation that came?

The organisation that came to Albanvale Primary School to help the 1/2 students make the toy cars was Craft Power.

Did the students get to decorate their cars?

The students got to decorate their car at the end of the day in their free time otherwise they took it home to colour and paint it at home.

Did the students enjoy the craft incursion?

The 1/2’s enjoyed the incursion very much. They had an exciting time constructing a working car. It was their first time getting to make a toy car out of wood using real tools.
