It’s only just over one week until the Summer Recorder Recital – Live Concert – Monday 5 December 2022

The recorder players of HPS are preparing pieces to be presented in a brief performance to families at HPS, in the BER, at 6 pm on Monday 5.12.22. 

As we stand and play music to the best of our ability, we will once again demonstrate the enormous personal benefits of an authentic in-school arts program such as the HPS recorder program.

HPS Instrumental Recorder Program 2023

Enrolment Applications for continuing students are now open

In 2023 instrumental recorder lessons will again be offered during school hours with Fiona Walters at HPS. The recorder program aims to help parents provide their children (grades 1–6) with an opportunity to learn a musical instrument within Heidelberg Primary School’s vibrant musical community. Students are encouraged to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge including reading and playing music notation, recorder technique and music appreciation as well as successful habits of learning — through the study of music, students can develop the habits of life-long learning and build self-confidence as they practise risk-taking and gain resilience.

Information and enrolment application forms were emailed to families this week.

Re-enrolments: Current students, if you would like to continue recorder in 2023, please return your completed form direct to the tutor. Thank you. 

Please return your enrolment application without delay so we can try to ensure we will have enough places available next year to accommodate all who wish to learn.
