Looking Forward to 2023

On Wednesday 23rd, three of our team attended Green Adelaide's launch of their Sustainability Program.  Valley View Secondary School was the hosting site sharing in their case study around, 'Building Resilience in the Garden' which began in 2021 with support and funding from Green Adelaide.  It was inspiring listening to the students as they shared how being involved in this ongoing project has given them a sense of belonging, improved the mental health and well being, and has given them some fundamental skills that they can translate to future jobs.

As we continue to explore and design our Community Garden, we are encouraged by the process the children have already invested themselves in and we look forward to furthering this in 2023.  We are well underway with writing our project submission with Green Adelaide to be launched early next year.

Our research and project work has come to an end for 2022, besides replanting some self seeded tomato plants that we found this week.  If you would like to be part of this small rescue mission, please let us know.  

For those families continuing with us in 2023, we look forward to partnering with you and our new families and creating our Community Garden as a place where plants, creatures and hearts flourish.
