Our First Transition Visit at Curiosity

As some of our Blue and Orange friends went for their Big School transition visit on Thursday, Curiosity welcome 50 new families to our community. 

With the sun shining, these courageous friends waltzed in and began exploring every inch of the Centre.  Conversations were had, new friends made and the beginning of a great sense of community for 2023.

We look forward to everyone's (including current ELC children) next Thursday, Dec 1 from 8:30 - 10:30am.  Parents are welcome to stay or leave for a walk or coffee.  You are also welcome to stay if your child would like you to.  Please send along a hat and drink bottle for your child.  Thank you.

 Thank you to everyone who came along, it was lovely to see you all engage in play and conversation.  We are excited about the potential and possibilities for 2023.

Learning Teams for 2023

As shared with the community on Thursday, learning teams will have final allocations made to them after next weeks visit.  A team poster will be sent to you via Storypark and email once the staff had discussed final observations on Dec 1.

Staffing for 2023

I am pleased to announce the following staff have been appointed for 2023.  We welcome Ms Shelly Collins, Mr Jo and Mr Ollie to our team.  Introductory information will be sent home on all our staff in our final iNewsletter for 2023.  

In 2023, we have appointed Mrs Amelia as our Educational Leader.  Amelia will continue to complete her Masters in Early Childhood Education with honours in 2023, whilst driving pedagogical aspirations for our Centre around the principles and practices of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project.  Amelia is well positioned and experienced for this role, having been part of the 'Reimagining Childhood' Project that Professor Carla Rinaldi lead in SA.  Amelia has shared her professional knowledge at Early Childhood Australia conferences and has already inspired many on our team members.  We look forward to seeing the capacity and knowledge of our educators thrive under her educational leadership.

We are very excited about each of these appointments.
