Year 4 String Concerts 

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, the Year 4 String Students performed some of their repertoire they have been learning this semester. The afternoons were enjoyed by family and friends, with the boys displaying a lot of progress since Semester One.   

 

Congratulations to our Year 4 String Students and thank you to all the Music Tutors, Teachers, and Staff for a successful end of year concert. 


Middle School Chamber Music Night

The Middle School Chamber Music Night is coming up on Wednesday, 2 November commencing at 7:00pm in the Braham Auditorium, 2nd floor of the Cultural Centre. All are welcome to attend this performance as the students showcase their most recent works.


Year 6 Concert Band ‘Have a Go’ Day

A reminder that the Year 6 2023 ‘Have a Go’ Day is on Monday, 7 November at 3:30pm in the Cultural Centre. This is a great opportunity for Parents and Students to learn more about the Year 6 Concert Band Scholarship Program. If your son is interested in learning any of the following instruments, we encourage you to attend. Your son will also get the opportunity to try these instruments in this session.

 

In year 6 instrumental tuition can be selected from the following instruments under the Concert Band Program: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Cornet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba and Percussion. Please register your interest using the link below.

Instrumental Tuition Music Re-Enrolment 

Please note that re-enrolment letters for current music students have been posted this week. Please return these to the Performing Arts Office; you can drop them off or email them to music@trintiy.wa.edu.au.

 

 

Junior School

Instrumental Music Enrolments are now open for Trinity students that are not currently enrolled in the Music Program. Music is a traditional strength of the College, and we encourage all students to take up a musical instrument. Students can participate in the String Ensemble or Concert Band in addition to the Junior School Choirs and the auditioned Junior Vocal ensemble.

 

2023 Year 4 Instrumental Tuition Enrolement 

All students entering Trinity in Year 4 will have the opportunity to learn either the Violin, Viola, Cello, or Double Bass.

 

The Trinity Junior School Strings ‘Have a go Days’ will be held onWednesday, 23 and Thursday, 24 November 2022. Please book an appointment for these sessions using the below link.

 

2023 Year 5 Instrumental Tuition Enrolment

Instrumental tuition can be selected from the following instruments:

Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Cornet, Trombone and Piano.

2023 Year 6 Instrumental Tuition Enrolment 

We would like to encourage students to consider the Year 6 Scholarship Concert Band Program.

 

All students in year 6 who are not already involved in the string program will have the opportunity to learn a brass or woodwind instrument. A small number may also be able to learn percussion. 

 

In year 6 instrumental tuition can be selected from the following instruments under the Concert Band Program: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Cornet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba and Percussion

 

Alternatively, we offer the following music tuition:

Bagpipes, Piano, Vocal, Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass.

 

SENIOR SCHOOL

 

2023 Year 7 - 12 Instrumental Tuition Enrolment

Applications are now open for places in the Instrumental Programme. There is a vast range of music tuition available to the students. This includes Woodwind, Brass, Strings, Guitar, Vocal, Percussion, Pipes/Drums, Piano, and Harp. 

 

Students in the Programme have the opportunity to audition for our performance groups and participate in a large array of events and activities throughout the year. Students who learn an instrument outside the College are welcome in the ensembles and should make themselves known to Dr. Braham, so a place can be found for them.

 

Boys who wish to sing in either the year 7/8/9 Chorale, (Middle School Chorale) or the year 10/11/12 Chorale (Senior Chorale) may make a note of this on their instrumental application form.
