Prayers written by students at St Liborius' School Eaglehawk.

We have been overwhelmed with messages of support from schools across the state. We are grateful for the care and support received.

Prayer gives us the chance to pray to God for our needs and the needs of our world. The past weeks have seen some incredible challenges for those affected by the floods. In our prayers we ask God to watch over those who are suffering and guide us to help those in need.

Dear Lord,

Please look after all the people in Rochester.  Please bring them warmth and happiness, and make sure they are all safe.

Dear God,

I pray that everyone in Rochester that has been in the floods.  I pray that they stay safe and have help in cleaning up the mess.

I pray for the people who have died in the floods.  I pray for their families and that they recover  soon.

Please help the people that are suffering today due to the floods.  I hope the families are doing OK and recover from this trauma.

Fill those most effected by the floods with a sense of hope and promise in the midst of loss and grief. Bolster those assisting, with strength, kindness and patience. Offer our staff and students all the help, assurance and resilience they need to see these distressing times through. Lord Hear Us
