Dear Friends,

Building on the foundation of Christ!

We praise God for the 620 enrolments in the College this term!

As we continually grow and improve, we never want to lose sight of why we exist as a school. It is the ‘why’ that makes us distinct and special and this ‘why’ directs what we do and how we operate.

St Andrews Christian College exists for the purpose of building disciples for Christ; helping our students to know God and their purpose in His kingdom. We do that by providing an excellent education grounded in Christ. An education that prepares students to serve and thrive in the way God intends for each unique and individual student.

Building for the future

We will reach full enrolment capacity in the next couple of years and are seeking God as to how He wants us to continue to grow. We are inundated with enrolment enquiries and have hundreds of students on waiting lists. ‘Unless the Lord builds the house those who build it labor in vain’.  Psalm 127:1

Opening of the Performing Arts Building

Last week we officially opened our new Performing Arts Building, where we dedicated all the teaching and learning to honour God and bless all staff and students. We thank God for this fantastic new addition to our campus. 

The building of our new Middle School and Science block has commenced!

The grounds are being prepared to build our three storey building which will open in Semester 2 2019. 

Building up others in Christ and Christian Education

Mr Dan Lee and I travelled to the Solomon Islands with some other educators from Australia to train school leaders in Christian Education. The conference was held at the Solomon Islands National University during the school holidays. It was such a privilege to share and be a blessing to our fellow educators in the Solomon’s.

Thanks to all those who donated reading glasses to take to people who desperately need glasses to read God’s Word. Here we are pictured with many of the glasses generously given by our community. These glasses will be delivered to the village community on Malaita in the next month. 

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13
