Jasmine Fassoulis, Year 11
In early March, our Physics class hopped on a bus and headed out to Melbourne’s own Luna Park, where we were joined by what seemed like hundreds of other physics students from around Victoria.
Our only goal was to explore the effects of motion, by experiencing it first hand, and with that we were set loose in the Park.
We had a blast being thrown around, spun in circles and turned upside down, as all of us tried to go on every single ride as many times as possible.
Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and it really helped cement our understanding of the physics behind circular motion and energy transfers, which was only gained through exploring the theory ourselves.
On 25 April, our School leaders represented Kilvington at the Dawn Service at Caulfield RSL.
Eve Durand read In Flanders Fields, while Harrison Broughton and Jasmine Fassoulis laid a wreath. Charles Yuen (Year 12) was there in his capacity as an Air Force Cadet.
