Earth Hour

Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by WWF. The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses to turn off their lights for one hour as a symbol for their commitment to the planet. It was started as a lights-off event in Australia, in 2007 and since then has grown and grown. As MGC does this year we took it that next few steps further, having a lunchtime carbon free karaoke event, powered by bikes and ergos (rowing machines). This event encouraged students to perform with friends and was very entertaining for all who watched. Thank you for everyone who helped. This really does show that if we can power karaoke with bikes, than we can really do anything. Thank you.
