Year 6 graduation song

Each year, our Year 6s prepare a graduation song to mark the end of their time in the Junior School.

There are lots of restrictions around singing at the moment, but our talented students rose to the challenge and performed My Shot from the musical Hamilton.

The video and audio had to be recorded separately and then edited together by the talented Ms Radford who told us, "The song lyrics speak affirmations into the lives of the students as they move on from Junior School. For all these reasons, and because we used a lot of creativity, we enjoyed making the music video and watching it at graduation."

Well done everyone (and top marks to Ms Radford!)

Year 5 band program

Nicole Bull, Year 5 Band Co-ordinator

With government restrictions prohibiting us from blowing instruments in Term 4, we found a different and creative way of coming together in a band setting.

I decided that a classroom of xylophones and other percussion instruments would be a fun and new venture for our Year 5 students. We rehearsed each week in our music lessons and worked together to produce a performance which was shared to family via a video link, with Mr Charlton and Mr Earle as our live audience.

Congratulations to all Year 5 students for their perseverance and dedication to the Band program, in what has been a very challenging year for musicians.

Please enjoy our performances via the links below.

Kadences Girls’ Choir

Nicole Bull, Kadences Conductor

During the remote learning period, the Kadences girls’ choir worked together to make a virtual choir performance. The girls all recorded their individual parts and these were then edited to form the choir’s rendition of Keep Holding on

We chose this song as the words had special significance to us. No matter what, or how you are feeling in times of need, remember that there is always someone out there who cares. We hope you enjoy the song.
