Northern Region Athletics Championships

Last Wednesday was the Northern Region Athletics Championships held at Meadowglen Athletics Track in Epping. Six students represented our school and achieved amazing results.

Sebastian Marcellino - 12/13 year 1500m - 5th

12/13 year 800m - 7th

Tessa Sciulli - 12/13 year 800m - 8th

12/13 year 200m FINAL - 7th

Christian Stranges - 12/13 year Shot Put - 4th

Joey Rossin - 12/13 year Discus - 6th

Jessica Collins - 11 year High Jump - 8th

11 Year Discus - 12th

Hamish Geary - 9/10 year 200m - HEATS - 6th

Riding Bicycles and Scooters to School

It has been wonderful to see such an increase in the number of students riding bikes and scooters to school.

A reminder to parents that it is a legal requirement that bicycle and scooter riders MUST wear an approved helmet.

Below is some information from the VicRoads website, outlining the guidelines.

Wearing a bicycle helmet

All bike and scooter riders are required to wear a bike helmet in Victoria.

Mandatory bicycle helmet laws were introduced in July 1990. This applies when riding:

on roads
on bike and shared paths
in bike lanes
in recreational parks
in car parks

Police can stop bike and scooter riders and issue a fine or a warning for not wearing an approved bicycle helmet.
