Greetings everyone! Sorry I haven’t written in so long, I've been quite busy. Today is the second last day of term 2, time just flies by doesn’t it! Today I’ll cover some of the important events from last week which includes the football (soccer), AFL, and netball lightning premiership. Let’s start off with football. During last week students from year 5 and 6 got on a bus to Dendy park in Brighton.
To win the tournament you first needed to make it out of the group stage, which required you to win at least 3 or more times.
The St Joey's boys managed to secure a spot in the semis. Unfortunately for us we bombed out and lost out on a nice trophy and bragging rights on the other schools!
The next day the St Joey's girls and some boys went off to play netball. I’m not overly sure how it went considering I wasn’t there, but judging by how everyone looked when they came back, it had been a tough competition!
Friday was the final Lightning Premiership so for the second time a mix of 5's and 6's took a bus to play some Aussie rules football. The same formula for Soccer applied for Footy. However this time we didn’t make it to the semis.
Overall everyone competing throughout those three days did a really good job and should be really proud of their effort!
Anyway that's everything, see you next term!

On Wednesday 29th June, some of the 5’s and 6’s went to the Netball Lightning Premiership. Although we didn’t win many games, we all gave it a go and had a lot of fun! We had a bit of a rough start but when we got there we did our best.
Well done to all of our players: Emily, Sophie, Lily, Gabriella, Monique, Manuela, Mila, Giulia, Gaby, Giles, Rupert, Henry, Daniel, Addy and Grace.
