Term 2, Week 8
Camp Wilkin (Anglesea) is approaching quickly and we are all very excited! This camp provides a variety of challenging and fun activities designed to promote team-work, resilience and confidence. They include:
Permission forms have been uploaded to Compass and will need to be completed as soon as possible if you would like your child/ren to attend. Medical forms have also been sent home as a hardcopy. To help our staff organise the camp, medical forms are due next Monday, Week 9. Thankyou for your assistance with this!
Students are continuing to work very hard on their 'Campaign Posters' about an endangered animal of their choice. These will be completed next week.
Mathematics: Students will complete testing during Week 9 to demonstrate the skills they have been taught in 'addition' and 'subtraction'. They will also do testing in preparation for our Term 3 Maths' topics. Students are continuing work on their 'Design a Zoo' projects in Applied Maths and are looking forward to being able to share them at the end of the term.
Writing & Reading: Having completed our unit on 'Informative Writing', students will now have the opportunity to choose a favourite piece of writing from this term to publish, print and take home.
Topic: As you can see above, students are continuing to work on their 'Campaign Posters' to finish off our unit on Sustainability and Conservation. Next term, we will begin a new topic looking at 'Disability and Inclusion'.
