Diamond Valley Athletics Club

The Diamond Valley Athletic Club invites students - & their parents - interested in a season of Cross Country running with Athletics Victoria, to register their interest with DVAC Registrar, Lyn Davis on mob: 0409 005 406 or email: ldavis_20@bigpond.com

Competition age groups for girls and boys are Under 14, Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20. As well, the competition is available to Open age, 40+ & 50+ age categories. Training sessions under qualified Coaches are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at Willinda Park, Greensborough from 4:30pm. These sessions are free to club members.

The season of Cross Country running with AV commences on Saturday 7th May with Cross Country relays at Jells Park, Wheelers Hill. Junior athletes run a distance of 3km & senior athletes run legs of 6km.

The 2022 Winter season offers a mixture of Cross Country & Road running to cater for all abilities.

BYS ENVIRO INFO SESSION

Come along to our information session with Banyule City Councils sustainability team to learn about what Council is doing to tackle climate change and to learn about grant opportunities open to young people in 2022! Council have up to $10,000 available for YOU to fund your environment or sustainability project OR IDEA!! Come along to find out more and share your ideas!

LGBTQI+ BOWLING NIGHT 

A fun night filled with laughter, friendly competition, and connection in an inclusive space.

Supported by BYS, we welcome young people who identify as LGBTQI+ to come along and meet other young queer people. Hosted at Oz Pin bowling, this event is a short distance to where the weekly Rainbow Space meets at Jets and is a great way to familiarize yourself with the area and the community.

YOUTHFEST SAVE THE DATE!! CALL OUT FOR VOLUNTEERS

Youth Fest is back! Join us for an afternoon that celebrates the diversity of young people with live local music, free activities, a marketspace by young creatives, rides and so much more.

If you’d like to get involved in the planning this fantastic event and get great experience to add to your CV there’s loads of options. You can join our FReeZA events committee who meet weekly; support marketing; perform; be there on the day to help run a stall.

Submissions are now open to find the hero image*  that captures the vibrant atmosphere of Banyule Youth Fest 2022 

WIN $150 VOUCHER & work with a graphic designer!!!Artists must be aged 12-25.All entries receive a small gift bag: including Chatime voucher.

Art needs to appeal to young people 12-25, be creative, warm, vibrant, appealing, exciting, original & encourage people to come!

Offers to schools for student development Work Experience

Supported work experience placements at Jets creative art facility. Get hands on experience in a youth friendly creative studio, placement covers set up of spaces, support of programs, event preparation, administration, collaborating with others and learning how this unique space works and supports the community.

Ever thought of a career in project management? PMI is now offering FREE sessions that can be run in schools for students of all ages!
