Netball Regional Finals

Reported by Danyela Bailey and Allegra Pinferi

On the 14th of September Danyela, Allegra, Paige, Ella, Mya, Bronte, Mylie, Abigail and Eve all went to the Netball Schools Cup Regional Finals in Tamworth. We had 5 games overall and we had to win at least 1 of our games to make it into the finals. Our first game was at 9:45 and we finished our games at 2:00. Firstly, we played Narrabri Public School. They were a competitive team but they were no match for us. We won, 4 to 2. Then we played the hardest team which was Ross Hill Public School. They won 17 to 5. They were by far the tallest team. Barraba was a tough game, but we managed to hang on. We still lost, 13 to 9, but we played the best that we could. An hour break passed quickly and then we were playing in the Semi-finals against Moree. We lost to them by one point, 7 to 6. We made it to the finals and we played Mullaley. We won 13 to nil and we had a second burst of energy.

Overall, we had an amazing day. We had a total of 9 deflections, 25 rebounds, 8 missed goals, 30 intercepts and 37 goals. We would like to thank Kristen Bailey and Sal Floyd for being our coach and giving up their time to train us. Also, Miss McMeniman for umpiring our games. Thank you Mr McManus and Mrs Barratt for giving us the opportunity to test ourselves at the next level.

We wouldn’t have been able to go without your support.

Representative Uniforms

This term has been busy on the sporting front with many of our talented students representing our school. Once your child has finished competing in their representative sport, please ensure all uniforms have been washed and returned (in a bag with their name) to school ready for the next event.
