Coaches Skills

Phiv Demetriou (head coach) - Phiv is the brother of Andrew Demetriou who used to run the AFL. Phiv was a school teacher in PE and accounting plus has worked for the AFL for over 15 years. He now works with AFL and TAC clubs teaching players the correct technique of football skills, mostly kicking. I have listed below and attached some of Phivs great achievements -

1. Development Manager Northern Region.

2. Presenter at AFL National Coaches conference in kicking.

3. Work with drafted AFL players improving their skill levels and football awareness.

4. Victorian Women's football league - kicking coach.

5. Northern Knights women kicking coach.

Chris Shen (tackling coach) - Chris was the Western Bulldogs women's tackling coach for many years and I have attached his profile. Chris will show the girls how to tackle and protect themselves in a game of football plus he is a great motivational speaker.

(See flyer below)

We can assure you the girls will appreciate the coaches' input into their football journey and hope we can start their journey with us, at West Ivanhoe Sporting Club.
