Year 7 & 8 Textiles

7I Bunting Project

Last term, Year 7I worked on their embroidery skills to design, create and make their own bunting. They used their visualisations to help plan and produce their bunting. We were super proud of all their team work and progress and they should be very happy with their results!

Year 8 Community Project

Last term, our Year 8 Textiles students worked on a community project, creating a stuffed toy of their choosing and then donating it to a local organisation.

Students learned dyeing methods and developed pattern making skills.  The idea behind the project is for students to think beyond themselves to different end users whilst giving back to our community.

We have teamed up with EACH and Uniting who are going to donate the soft toys created by our students to families who have been displaced, in need or otherwise struggling.
