Dear Parents and Carers,
Exciting NAPLAN Results
Last week the Catholic Schools Office published a press release highlighting how well many schools in our diocese performed in the 2021 NAPLAN assessments. Our wonderful school was named in the top 40 schools in the state for the performance of our Year 5 students in all areas assessed. This is an outstanding achievement and the result of our relentless focus on learning for every student. Congratulations to our teachers for your expertise and to our students in this cohort: Jack Bennett, Abbie Coghill, Ayden Coward, Bill Flett, Clancy Flett, Charles Lee, Cooper Marheine, Stella McMahon, Archie Mc Namee and Brandan Thompson. Please take a moment to read the press release.
ANZAC Day
I encourage EVERY student from K-6 to represent our school at the Anzac Day March and Ceremony on Monday 25th April. This is an important community event recognising the dedicated service and sacrifice of the men and women from our region and across our country. Students are asked to wear full summer uniform (don’t forget your school hat) and meet our teachers in front of the Post Office at 10.45am. The students then march to the cenotaph for the official service, formal wreath laying and observance of a minute’s silence.
Thank You!
As this is the last week of Term 1, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many people who contribute to our school community:
ART Competition
Parents will be able to look at the entries next Thursday 7th of April from 2-2:30pm. Don't forget the Hot Cross Buns will need to be collected between 9 and 9:30am or just before the Easter Hat Parade and drawing of the raffle at 2:30pm.
I wish all our families a relaxing, safe and healthy holiday.
Term 2 commences for students on WEDNESDAY 27th April.
