French Excursion

On Wednesday 23rd of March, Year 11 French students were treated to a special excursion to attend the school screening of the French movie called “Fly Me Away” (Envole-moi) as part of the Melbourne French Film Festival at the Kino cinema in the city. The film was ‘fantastique’.

Afterwards we headed to the French crêperie ‘Roule Galette’ in Flinders Lane to enjoy the ambiance of a French restaurant and the dessert crêpes. Students also got the chance to order their crêpes in French.

It was a new experience to watch a French movie at the cinema. It helped the students to learn new French words and more about France and its culture. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and fun was had by all!

If you are keen to see a French film, the French Film Festival is running until Mid-April and the festival schedule can be found here: https://www.afmelbourne.com.au/events-live-french/french-film-festival-2022/

Now, she is in Paris , answering questions in French from our students. Every time, she moves to a new region of France, she shares new photos. This way, our students feel they are 'travelling ' to France through her posts.
