the story of easter
The story of Easter is the story of God’s love…
Broken relationships cause heartache and pain… and it often takes a lot of love, effort and commitment from both parties to see them restored.
But when people chose to turn away from God, their relationship was damaged in such a significant way that there was nothing they could do to fix it. Sin had entered the world and sin had a price that needed to be paid.
It was all on God.
And so, God sent his dearly loved, innocent Son Jesus to pay the price for us. On Good Friday, Jesus took the blame for our sin as He died on the cross.
If it ended there, it would have indeed been a tragedy… But, on Easter Sunday morning, Jesus rose from the dead, making it clear that the debt was paid, our relationship with God restored and new life began!
Now we can live in the love and freedom that God always intended … living in connection with Him, free from sin and guilt, living life to the full.
That first Easter, Jesus became our rescuer, our Saviour, and our reason for joy! Such was God’s great love for us all!
John 3:16 God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. NIrV
God bless you all this Easter with His love, peace, hope and joy.
May you know how much you are loved!
