Principal's Report
While it has been great to complete a term without remote learning, it has also been a challenge, particularly given the number of students and staff who have had to isolate with COVID or as household contacts. There has also been the challenge of students learning to learn, play and socialise together after two interrupted school years.
However, there have also been many highlights with students and families most recently being able to come together for events like:
Year 11 Camp
By all reports, this camp was a wonderful experience for students as they travelled to South Australia and then back through Victoria. Assistant Principal Ryan Millar led a team of staff who made this camp possible and they received great buy-in from the students at every stage. Well done to all involved.
Strawbale Music Concert
One parent said to me as he was leaving that this concert "was the best yet". It certainly was a wonderful showcase of our Performing Arts talent, supported by students and staff from the Visual Arts and Green Team. All bands were impressive and we also saw a sneak peek of our upcoming school production Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Our appreciation as a community goes to all involved, led by Emma McCulloch and her team and our committed Music Parents members and volunteers.
I hope all in our community enjoy a safe and restful holiday period.
