Year One/Two News 

What an exciting first week to return to school! 

We commemorated ANZAC Day on our first day. The students did a wonderful job representing MRPS, especially in how they conducted themselves both walking to and from the cenotaph and respectfully listening during the ceremony.

We have also started our gymnastics program on Thursdays for six weeks. The students thoroughly enjoyed all the Aquatic Centre had to offer in the gymnasium. As a reminder, students will need to have a packed lunch rather than a lunch order for the duration of the program. To support your child's independence, please also ensure girls wear socks rather than tights on these days.

To finish the week, we had our School Expansion Opening on Friday. Jaxson (M5) did an amazing job reading his Acknowledgement of Country at our official assembly. All students had a great day mixing with older students for some special activities. It was wonderful to be able to welcome families back into our learning spaces.
