ANZAC DAY

In Blue Group we celebrated ANZAC Day. In Group time the educators lead a group discussion regarding children's current knowledge about the ANZAC's, the Blue group children mentioned how they knew that a Poppy helps us to remember, some soldiers received medals for being brave and that on ANZAC day people march. We furthered the children's knowledge through reading the book 'Lest We Forget', the children then followed up by making their very own Poppy to help them remember all the brave soldiers, nurses and doctors that protected our freedom.
