BOOK OF THE MONTH. . . MAY!

I HATE MY CATS! (A LOVE STORY)

by Davide Calli

Illustrated by Anna Pirolli

They say, "You can't judge a book by its cover!"

Well, I am guilty of doing just that from time to time. I picked up this book while on holidays at an open book stall. The adorable front cover and perplexed title caught my attention.

In addition, once I  flicked through the book I was beguiled by the illustrations on each page.

On that note, I had to purchase the book.

Oh and it is worth mentioning, it is a great read too!

You will meet Ginger and Fred and you will read about the love-hate relationship.

This is a charming and humorous read!

Purrfectious!!

EASTER BREAK READING/ POOLSIDE READING!

MINA AND THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD by Sheryl Clarke.

This is a book about little acts of kindness, that lead to an unexpected friendship. Two from two very different parts of the world. It is a verse novel, so makes it a good and easy to follow read by the pool or wherever you may be.

If I was Mina, I wonder . . . !

Good read for middle and upper primary.

You can find this new book in the BPS Library. Come see me to borrow it!

What did you read during the break?
