House Athletics Carnival (Grades 3-6)

On Monday 6th August, all of our grade 3-6 students headed off to Sandringham Athletics Track to showcase their jumping, running and throwing skills in our House Athletics Carnival. The day was filled with house cheers, lots of ribbons pinned to t-shirts, excellent sportsmanship competition and most importantly scoring of lots of house points. Massive well done to all students for their fantastic efforts! At the end of the day all the house points were totalled up and the results:

1st  - Orrong

2nd -  Furneaux

3rd – Loch

4th – Carrington

The overall house points of 2018 =

1st Orrong, 2nd = Carrington, 3rd = Loch, 4th = Furneaux

Mr Leech takes on a group of students in the 400m

56 students have now been selected to represent the school at the District Athletics event back at Sandringham Athletics Track on Friday 24th August. Massive well done! These students have all received a permission form and we hope they can be returned as soon as possible. If you are able to assist on the day we would love your help to travel on the bus or meet us at the track to fulfil our marshalling responsibility and support out students. Coles Equipment

Wow! Thank you so much for all your support with collecting the Coles sports for schools vouchers in Term 2. Our equipment has arrived and whilst some is to be used in our upcoming Physical Education lessons, the majority is been prepared to be distributed around each classroom with some student help to make our recess and lunchtimes more active. We are encouraging student responsibility of their classroom equipment (once it’s gone, it’s gone) and sportsmanship play.
