Year 10 Camps

We were very pleased to be able to offer students the opportunity to attend Central Australia for eight days or Tasmania for a five day tour. The students had an amazing time away on both camps and were able to explore some fantastic historical and cultural sites in Central Australia including Coober Pedy, Uluru and Kata Tjuta and Alice Springs including the Royal Flying Doctors Service and the School of the Air.

In Tasmania, students visited Devonport, Launceston, Cataract Gorge, Hobart including visiting MONA, Port Arthur and visiting the oldest bridge in Australia in the town of Richmond. Students are to be commended on the behaviour and great level of enthusiasm on the camps.

Course Counselling – Year 10 students

Year 10 students will be involved in a course counselling session on Friday 2 August. The purpose of this day is for the student to have an appointment with two teachers at the school to discuss and help to finalise a VCE course for 2020. We strongly encourage parents to attend with their child if they are able to and if not, the student should attend by themselves.

Year 10 Social

Excitement is building for the Year 10 Social being held on Friday 2 August at 7pm in the Nina Carr Hall. Students are invited to bring a friend to this event and tickets are being sold this week. Students are only able to attend the event if they have attended their course counselling appointment during the day.

Year 9 City Experience

The year level will be involved in a three day city experience in August. Students and families will be given the full breakdown itinerary in the next few weeks. This has been a fantastic experience for students in the past where they have been able to get to know others in their year level, use their navigation skills around the city and be involved in some great experiences within the CBD.

Headspace Incursions

Year 9 students will be involved in two sessions run by Headspace over this term to support them with positive mental health strategies. These sessions will be held in weeks 2 and 7 of this term. We look forward to students gaining insight into tangible strategies they can use to help them develop resilience and positive coping strategies.
