Push Up Challenge

Headspace fundraising

Staff have committed to do 3,128 push ups in the next three weeks to support Headspace

In 2017, 3,128 people across Australia died by suicide according to the ABS. Seventy-five per cent of mental health challenges occur before the age of 25 and suicide remains the leading cause of death in young people. To strive to reduce the number of young people who experience ill mental health Headspace has started the The Push Up Challenge over the month of July. The more funds raised the more young people they can help.

MGSC staff have created a team and begun working towards their target by gathering at the start of each lunchtime at various places around the campus to hit the ground for some push ups.  The target of 3,128 is the combined total for all staff participating over the three week period.
