2020 Interschool Sports - Summer Fixture
DIVISIONAL SWIMMING EVENT
This year’s Divisional Swimming Carnival was held at Northcote Aquatic Centre on Tuesday 3rd March. 7 students from Plenty Parklands Primary represented the Whittlesea Division.
All of the students have made us very proud, each one swimming at their best level to complete their 50m swim against students from four other schools from within our district.
Our students displayed excellent efforts in both their individual and team events. Jacob R came a very close 2nd in both his individual events- freestyle and backstroke, it was a photo finish for both. (Congratulations Jacob!) He then went on to swim in the relay team as well.
Mia C placed 4th in her butterfly event, what an amazing effort she put in, because 13 events later she did it all again for her medley relay team. (Great work Mia!)
Supriya S swam a very fast lap for her medley event, then again for her relay event 11 races later, not a lot of rest in between! (Go Supriya!)
JadaB and Sara B supported and encouraged their teammates during the morning while they nervously awaited for their Medley Relay event. – The four girls in the relay placed 5th in the division.
Charlee M and Milo V also waited and supported Plenty Parklands throughout the day, while waiting for their Relay event. – The relay team placed 4th position.
What an achievement by all students attending this event! Once again, they have made our school proud. I hope to see you back swimming for our school next year.
You will see the photos attached of the students:

I would sincerely like to thank the students’ parents, family and/or friends who made the effort to transport the students to and from the Northcote swimming pool on the day and have continually encouraged and supported them to try their best for their event.
Well done to all of the students once again for not only completing their swim on the day but for being so supportive of each other – you are a great team!
Remember this could be YOU next year if you can swim 50 metres and are in year 3, 4 or 5 right now! Watch out for the swimming notices in term 4 this year.
