Music and Sound Production

The Music and Sound Production classes have hit the ground running in 2018!

 

Throughout this term, students have challenged themselves both in class and in front of an audience. Both the Year 1 and Year 2 Music classes have performed to their peers. For the Year 1s, this was a nice way to break the ice and get to know each other. For the Year 2s, this was the first of many SACs and boy did they lift the bar with duelling pianos, smoke machines heartfelt dedications.

 

We have also had some great community events, with a number of lunchtime concerts! Thank you to all the volunteers who have assisted with those in term 1! Stay tuned for more in term 2.

 

Talent Quest

Hello everybody. Yes, it is that time of the year again! The school is searching for students with brilliant talent to take part in this years annual Talent Quest! This competition is a fantastic opportunity for you or your group to display your talent, and be in the running for some fantastic prizes. Performances can take place solo, duo or in a group, so grab your friends and show your talent.

Do you:

  • Sing
  • Dance
  • Play an instrument
  • Act
  • Do Stand-up Comedy
  • Or have have a unique talent.

Upcoming Events

The Year 12 VET Music students are strutting their stuff on Thursday May 17th at 6pm in the Crate Theatre. Featuring Daniel Czpowski, Brodie Krslovic and Jarod Tiquia, Anthony Iscaro, Luka Krajanovic, Lachlan Barbagello (and band), Paolo Lapid, and Samuel Tribo and Jose Ortega this will be a great night that is not only entertaining but contributes to students’ study scores. Gold coin donation upon entry.

 

The Year 1 Music VET Music and Sound Production students will hold their first concert of the year in the Crate Theatre on Wednesday May 23rd at 6pm. This promises to be a great evening of acoustic music. Stay tuned for more details closer to the event. Gold coin donation upon entry.
