College Captains and The City of Frankston Youth Mayor's Forum

Our four College Captains have been busy lately attending monthly meetings with the City of Frankston’s Youth Mayor. During these meetings they discuss issues that are impacting young people within our community with the College Captains from other Secondary Colleges in the City of Frankston and the Youth Mayor. They have been able to suggest ideas to improve the experiences of students and this has led to a Frankston Careers Event being approved.  The event will enable students the opportunity to gain more knowledge about their futures without having to travel to city events. Members of the forum hope that by doing this more people will be able to access careers information and therefore be more motivated to achieve their dreams in the future.

Student Representative Council

The SRC have been very busy over the past few months listening to the ideas from the student body at the College. They have put together music play list with the input from all year levels. These will play before the bells and the SRC hope that this creates a fun and happy atmosphere whilst people are going to class. The SRC have also surveyed the student body in relation to school improvement projects they would like to see happen this year. They have put a proposal into School Council and are waiting to hear feedback about these ideas.
