Critical Thinking Challenge

The Academic EXCEL cohort participated in a Critical Thinking Challenge day on Tuesday 23rd May. 7E, 8E and 9E work in mixed groups together on a project and presented at the end of the day. Students arrived on the day and received a scenario that they were going to work on for the day – they were inhabiting a new planet and needed to work out how they were going to organise the people on the planet for the best possible chance for survival! They had to problem solve as a group, as well as be creative and come up with a traditional dress for the planet, as well as deciding on 7 ‘rules of law’. It was  a great day and all of the groups presented interesting and entertaining solutions to the scenario that they were given!
