ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS’ REPORT

ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS

Paul Dawson   Bradley Headlam   Sarah Bridges

Term 1 at NGSC has provided students with the opportunity to engage in many curricular and extracurricular activities and establish a sense of community. It has helped set the tone for the rest of 2023 and we thank all families for their support.

NAPLAN

Our Year 7 & 9 students have completed their NAPLAN testing. It was terrific to see how the students saw this as an opportunity to test themselves to do their best. With the rescheduling of this test to the beginning of the year hopefully we will get some results earlier to guide some of the teaching & learning focus at North Geelong.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Thank you to the many families who attended parent teacher conferences. It was a great opportunity to meet with teachers to acknowledge our positive start to the school year and set goals for the rest of the semester. Building positive relationships with families and establishing two-way communication is an essential part of supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage those parents/carers who were unable to attend to contact the school and staff to discuss their child’s progress.

ATHLETICS DAY

Thanks to the students who showed house spirit and cheered on students from their house in all the sporting events. Students showed great enthusiasm, sporting ability and athleticism, especially when defeating the staff!! Thanks to the families who came to the event and supported the school community.

SCHOOL PHOTOS

School photo days have finished, and students were provided with an envelope with a student code for families to order photos. The Year 12 group photo will be taken next term . Mr Mc Dougall will be providing students with the details.
