Enrol Now For 2024!! .....Start Spreading the News!!

Click and ENROL NOW on our website or BOOK a tour.

To make things easy, parents can book a tour or complete an application to enrol via our website. Please continue to promote our school. Word of Mouth references is one of the key ways parents tell us they know about our school. So keep spreading the news of this wonderful learning community. We will be commencing Prep 2024 interviews with new families in May.

Welcome Back to Term 2, 2023

Welcome back to our staff, students and families to Term 2, 2023. We hope you had a wonderful holiday. We congratulate Imasha, who got married over the holidays. She looked sensational. Best wishes to the new Mrs Brodie. Many thanks to our choir who sang magnificently at the wedding.

We ask our community to pray for Elisabetta who is currently in hospital recovering from Pneumonia.

We look forward to an exciting Term 2. Our children are very excited with the new sandpit. This week they have been introduced to this new addition to our playground and next week they will get to enjoy it at breaks. Thanks once again to the P&F for their generous contribution and support.

We look forward to the completion of our new hall. This week the painters were in and the line marking for the sports were being marked out. The cabinetry for the kitchen has been partially installed and the toilets are almost completed. It is looking really good and we are now counting down the days when we can move in. It is sooooo close!!

School Closure Days

Please note the following Staff professional learning closure date for Term 2, 2023.

  • Friday 9th June ( Week 7, Term 2)

School Photo Day is NEXT Week!!

New Initiative  - New Awards

From next week we are launching a new initiative.  To encourage and positively reinforce our many students who are demonstrating our Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) expectations of Respect, Responsibility and Kindness we are introducing an acknowledgement/reinforcement initiative. This initiative has been successfully trialled in a junior and senior Home Group at the end of Term 1 and now will be launched across the school.

From next week, your child may bring home a new vibrant and very special acknowledgement award. The award will state their name, the expected behaviour they have demonstrated and a brief description of the action from our behaviour matrix which they demonstrated. The award will be dated and signed by a staff member. We will be giving out several awards each week when we want to reinforce an explicitly taught strategy or see positive behaviour expectation demonstrated.

Parents when your child brings home an award we would encourage you to really praise your child and talk to your child about their action. Then please sign the award and return the award back to school the next day. Your child will need to place it in a box in the Junior or Senior Learning Space they belong to.

Each Friday, a name will be drawn from the Junior and the Senior box from each Learning Space. Six children across the school, two from each Learning Space will win the raffle and will gain a reward. The more awards they have the greater their chance of being the one to gain the special reward. They will be able to choose from coming dressed in casual clothes the following Monday or 10 minutes of an activity at the end of the day of their choosing (such as shooting basketball hoops in the new hall!!).

Awards will be returned to students at the end of the week to retain as a keepsake at home. e.g. Place on the fridge or in a special place.

Consolidating a practice of acknowledgements is essential to meeting the requirements of Tier 1 in our PBL implementation. This will become our acknowledgment student awards on a more regular basis rather than just at assemblies each fortnight. Like with all new initiatives we will evaluate and adjust the process if required. We look forward to the implementation of this initiative and in partnership with parents, believe it will help reinforce our Positive Expected Behaviors.

Enjoy a wonderful weekend.

Christine White
