Connell Place (Frasers Road Entrance)

Reminder: Connell Place (outside Frasers Road) forms part of the Army Barracks, and parents are requested not to use this area for student drop-offs/pick-ups. The school pick-up/drop-off zone is entry via Moola Road entrance, exiting at Frasers Road.

Student Absentee Line

Reminder: Changes to the absentee line procedures came into effect from Term 1, 2023. Parents are now required to advise the College of student absences in writing via the Parent Lounge using the College App or Parent Portal. The student absentee line is no longer in use.

If a student needs to leave the College during the day or is arriving late, parents must notify the College in writing via the Parent Lounge using the College App or Parent Portal.

The use of the Parent Lounge will allow you to provide more detail about your son's absence. Student absences can be notified through the Parent Lounge/Student Details/Attendance. If using the App, click on the four squares at the top left of the screen/Attendance.

Year 11 Docudrama

Last Thursday, the Year 11 students took part in the RACQ Docudrama road safety programme that educates young drivers and passengers about the 'Fatal Five' risk factors (drink and drug driving, fatigue, not wearing a seatbelt, speeding, and distraction), which are the leading causes of incidents and crashes on our roads. Several proactive strategies were discussed and explored. Students were encouraged to use these strategies if, and when, they find themselves in a potentially dangerous driving situation.

How can you continue this awareness at home?

We encourage you to ask your child what they learnt in the RACQ Docudrama road safety programme and to continue this conversation with them regarding the positive choices they can make as a driver or passenger. To learn more about the three strategies your child can utilise, please see the attached document.
