Year 8 BEST

Last term in Year 8 BEST, students completed their PBL task where they were required to design and conduct their own scientific investigation that addresses chemical change. Students individually developed an investigation idea, wrote a detailed method for their experiment, collected data and analysed their results. Some investigation questions included: 

• Which type of vinegar reacts the most with baking soda? 
• Does the temperature of acid change the reaction with magnesium? 
• How do different metals react with copper sulphate? 

It was great to see how engaged our students were during the scientific process. We are now looking forward to a great term exploring our new unit on Body Systems.
