Last week, our junior girls competed in the Black Ranges football competition. The girls had a great day, winning 1 game. Well done and thanks to the teachers who accompanied them!
Our senior girls' football team also competed in the Black Ranges competition. They had a great day and will be progressing to the next stage. The girls defeated Horsham College 20-17, Marian College A beating them by 6 goals and finally defeating Marian College B by 2 points. The girls had a great day out and showed fantastic leadership and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Great result, well done!
Last week, three teams represented St Brigid’s College in netball. Congratulations to the Year 8 boys who won their carnival, and will now proceed to Greater Western Region competition later this month.
The competition this year was of a very high standard, exceptionally fast and all of our students played well. The intermediate boys came away with three wins, special mention to Max Murray who took up the position playing goalie, shooting a number of pivotal goals to seal a win.
The Year 7 boys played with great spirit and will no doubt be a force next year, with some more training and skill development. The Year 8 boys were led by experienced players Darcy Taylor and Jett Wilson, who were original members of our Boys State team from last year.
Well done to all who participated!
