School debating in Nathalia

On Wednesday 29 March, a group of Moama Anglican Grammar secondary students travelled to St Mary of the Angels, Nathalia to compete in the interschool debating competition. For many of our students this was their first debate, and it was a wonderful opportunity to practice working under pressure, improve public speaking, and to work collaboratively as a team.

Many thanks to Ms Griffin for organising. We look forward to hosting the next debate at our own campus this term.

Congratulations to Olivia Tenace

Year 11 student Olivia Tenace went up against 150 other young hopefuls when she auditioned for the State Youth Ballet Company production of Cinderella. Olivia blitzed the audition and won a lead role as the Hungarian Princess. She currently travels down to Melbourne every Sunday for rehearsals from 11am-5:30pm.  The production of Cinderella which features a cast of talented dancers from across Victoria will be held on 1st July 2023. More details regarding ticket purchases to come.

What an amazing accomplishment, Olivia - we're proud of your dedication and commitment to your dancing!

Science Around the School

Students from Mrs Carmody's Year 9 Science class investigated the effect of a catalyst on the rate of hydrogen peroxide decomposition.

Mrs Carmody's Year 9 Science class also investigated the breakdown of starch to glucose by the action of the enzyme amylase.
