Learning Behaviours

Over the past 6 months teachers have been working hard to establish learning behaviours that will underpin academic achievement in the classroom. Developing learning behaviours is a way of helping students understand4 exactly what is expected of them during different types of learning experiences. It also assists students to be able to discuss and reflect on their learning in order to celebrate or create goals for the future.

In order to help understand the learning behaviours, they have been broken into 3 elements; Teacher-Led Learning, Guided Learning and Student-Led Learning. These learning behaviours are being explicitly taught during class at Buninyong PS and you might hear your children talking about them at home.

Over the next 3 weeks we will have a look at each. Today we will look at Teacher-Led Learning Behaviours.

Not long to go now until the Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge finishes for 2019. It is time to get those books registered in order to ensure you secure your challenge certificate.

Check with your classroom teacher for login details.

At the moment we have 19 students who have completed the challenge. It would be great if we could get at least 50. So let’s get reading!
