100 Days of School

On Monday students from SC1 celebrated 100 days of learning! Students spent the day engaging in ‘100’ themed activities, cooking and a class party to follow. Here are some recounts from the students.

On 100 days of school we made a cake with 100 lollies. The cake was great and it was so much fun! – Summer
On Monday we had a 100 day of Prep party. We made a cake. It was fun. – William L

On Monday at school we had a big party. We had it because the Preps have been at school for 100 days. My favourite activity was making the ice cream cake. – Harry

Wakakirri

A huge congratulations to Mrs Morgan, Logan, Lara, Lexie, Despina and Quinn for a wonderful performance on Monday night in Bendigo. From all reports, you all did an amazing job. A big thanks also to the many families that supported on the night. Well done.

Gr 5 Sovereign Hill Excursion

This Thursday & Friday, the Gr 5’s will be attending Sovereign Hill to participate in the schools experience. The bus will be departing the Buninyong campus at 8.30am each morning. Please also note that the bus may be a little late arriving back at school, so please make arrangements for pick up with this in mind.

New Chook Shed

As you know, our chook shed has well and truly seen better days. So, last Friday, Rick, Michael, Adam and Leon worked very hard to get the new chook shed well under way. Rick plans to be back very soon to complete the job. Thanks guys!

Father’s Day Stall

Next Thursday 29th August, the students will have the opportunity to purchase a gift for Father’s Day. All gifts will be priced at $5.

Pen Licences

Congratulations to Mia who received her pen licence on Monday at assembly. She has been working very hard on her writing. Fingers crossed that some more students receive a licence in the coming weeks.

Wildlife Park Excursion

On Thursday 5th September, Scotsburn campus will be visiting the Ballarat Wildlife Park. Students will enhance their understanding and knowledge around native animals; including their features, survival techniques and habitats. The cost for the excursion is $13. Students will be required to wear full school uniform, have suitable footwear and warm jackets and hats. Please provide students with a water bottle, snacks and lunch, all to be taken in their backpacks. Notes will be sent home this week and need to be returned to your child’s teacher ASAP.
