Library News

From the Librarian
Term 3 has opened with displays of books and posters depicting the 50-year anniversary of the first Moon Landing. Our students have settled into well-established reading and library-use patterns but some variations lie ahead …
Book Week
Primary School will be celebrating Book Week in Week 6 this term. Nationally, Book Week falls in the week prior to this but our Primary calendar is full at that time with sporting commitments and two classes attending camp.
Secondary School will have their Book Week celebrations in Week 5: there will be more on this in the next Newsletter.
A question may have sprung to some of your minds. Will there be a Primary School Book Week Parade this year? Of course there will!! It has become a much-loved tradition that highlights the value of books and reading in all our lives in an atmosphere of shared fun and creativity. This year we will be judging for class prizes rather than individual ones. Please watch for further information regarding this.
Premier's Reading Challenge
At the end of Week 7, the Premier’s Reading Challenge 2019 will conclude. Many students have already completed their challenge and others are striving to be finished before the final day.
