Pedal Prix 2019

What a team!
Victoria Park was a buzz with human power vehicles on Sunday 28 July 2019. We were blessed again with perfect weather for race day. We were granted the special privilege of a 3 lap shoot out by the open riders prior to our race. As a team students raced the 1.354km Victoria race track for 6 hours. It was an eventful day with plenty of roll over action, from other teams, directly in front of our pits. Josiah continues to hold the school record for the fastest lap at 2 minutes 27 seconds and fastest average pace of 2 minutes and 44 seconds.
Placings:
Primary 117 overall and 25th in the primary category out of 68 (which is an amazing result.)
Secondary 115 overall and 56th in the secondary category out of 65
Thank you to our caterers Mel and Vicki for keeping us very well fed through out the whole day. You did an amazing job!
Thank you to Nathan Chester for his hard work behind the scenes and on the day with the record keeping.
Thank you to all our parent helpers (including timers) who helped set up, pack up and perform a variety of duties through out the day.
Thank you also to Lisa Hansen, James Leigh, Jessica Schulz and Clint Giggins who not only helped out on the day but put in countless hours behind the scenes to make the day happen.
A huge Thank you to our sponsors Mitre 10 Strathalbyn, Melita’s IGA Mount Compass, R and L Kiddell Plumbing, Amcal Strathalbyn and Strathfield Motors Strathalbyn. Thank you once again for your support.
We are looking to build upon this success next season with both our Primary and Secondary teams. If you'd like to be a part of our 2020 Pedal Prix Program, either as a rider, helper or sponsor, we'd love to hear from you. It is never too early to register your interest.
