Great Finish to Term 2

SPARKLES and TUTUs

During the last two weeks of Term 2 there were plenty of sparkles! The staff and children  enjoyed dressing up in dance and ballet costumes and performing dances. We had an outside stage set up for performing. Some expert dance teachers ( ELC Staff) were showing their best moves. We practiced asking a partner to dance. I’m not sure the glitter is ever going to disappear completely.

NAIDOC

The Preschool children enjoyed a visit to EFS 7-12 School to be involved in the NAIDOC celebrations. NAIDOC Week celebrations are held around the country each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

While there, the children enjoyed making crafts and being involved in an augmented reality session. Looking through goggles the images came to life. It complemented our ELC program which gives the children experiences in listening to the beautiful music, stories and art created over time by indigenous people that tells stories of the past, present and hopes for the future.

Vacancies for 2020

We are now taking enrolments for 2020 so if you have younger siblings looking to join us in the Early Learning Centre, please see Lynette Colebatch at the Main School Office for an Application form.

Able to Volunteer?

If you have some spare time in your week and you'd love the opportunity to work with our children in the Early Learning Centre, volunteering your time to assist the teaching staff would be most welcome.  The program is full and the learning is engaging but the clean up can be very time consuming so any help in this area is very much appreciated. Please see Robbie or Bev if you can help.
